What we can and cannot confirm

The registry confirms that a certificate was issued, to whom, for what, and whether it is still inside its validity period. It does not certify any claim a holder makes about themselves.

If the number you have is not in the registry, write to us with a photograph of the document. We will check it by hand and tell you what we find.

How verification works

Three steps, and the third one is the only one that really matters, because it is the one you do.

Every certificate carries one

It is printed on the document, in the format ICX-2026-0417. It is unique to that certificate and to nobody else.

Type it and press verify

The registry returns the holder, the programme, the level, the date of issue and whether the certificate is still inside its validity period.

Compare with the paper

If the details do not match the certificate in your hand, treat it as suspect and write to us before you rely on it.

The public registry
